Operating Engineers Local 3 is seeking an organized, punctual, service-oriented individual to support the Morgan Hill District Office. This position requires the ability to perform administrative and secretarial duties at a proficient level and with independent judgement.
A successful candidate must have served as either a high level or advanced Administrative Assistant to be considered, prior employment will be verified. Must have the capacity and motivation to master a steep learning curve; must be able to prioritize and complete extremely high workload timely, experience working with numbers and money; must be proficient in composing professional letters with good grammar and writing skills. Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3’s, Hawaii (Kapolei) Office is seeking an Administrative Assistant.
Performs general office work and clerical duties; processes mail, initiates correspondence as needed and directed. Prepares special reports, charts and memoranda, receives and accounts for daily receipts, may make deposits, process various applications and records payments, coordinating with district personnel, Trust Fund, Credit Union, employers, members and Union in maintaining current information. May assist in dispatching activities, and process membership information, etc. Responsible for office supplies, scheduling, minutes, agenda and working on district picnics.

JOB OPENING: Oahu Island Representative
Hawaii Operating Engineers Industry Stabilization Fund (HOEISF) is a labor-management organization, funded solely through participating contractors. We are seeking to hire an Oahu Island Representative for our office in Kapolei, Hawaii, to support, promote, and encourage fair contracting. We provide a “level playing field” in the public arena for both contractors and workers. Through our initiatives, HOEISF enhances bidding opportunities for signatory contractors.
Duties will include:
- Tracking bidding, and awarding of public works projects, utilizing various web sites and media,
- Drafting correspondences to the awarding agencies if bid results are questionable,
- Monitoring projects awarded to non-signatory contractors to determine whether violations are occurring
