What’s Happening This Year

What’s Happening This Year

2018 is a big election year. Three of the four states in our jurisdiction held primaries in June (California, Nevada and Utah), with a fourth primary election held in August (Hawaii). We had some good primary wins in races for Governor, U.S. Senate, Congress, state legislatures, local municipalities and in some states. But we need to get loud, stay loud and VOTE to turn things around. The General Election on Nov. 6 will be like no other.

What we do

Local 3 works closely with other trades and organizations to research important issues and interview candidates seeking elected office. By lending our support to those individuals and policies that will properly represent our members, we ensure that our government is responsive to the needs of the people and that America’s economy is on the right track.

Why we do it

Our members are the key to turning campaign promises of economic recovery and job creation into a reality by keeping our elected officials accountable for the approval and funding of necessary projects. The right candidate today can mean the difference between the right or wrong future of America. Join us and keep the middle class strong.
