Retiree Association

The Operating Engineers Retiree Association was officially chartered as an association by the State of California in 1975. The Retiree Association is comprised of 20 individual chapters located throughout Local 3’s jurisdiction. Members are retired union members and their spouses. The chapters meet twice a year for exchanging information and ideas regarding current issues and concerns affecting Local 3, its retirees and all working people. In addition, chapters get together annually for the Retiree Picnic at Rancho Murieta.

Pre-retirement Meetings

To familiarize members with all aspects of their retirement benefits, each year Local 3 holds pre-retirement meetings throughout its jurisdiction. Union and trust fund staff are present to explain the details of the pension and other retirement benefits and to answer questions. An understanding of the benefits allows members to adequately plan for their retirement. Members and spouses are encouraged to attend the meeting in their area.
